Critical Numbers are the key outcomes (1-2 is ideal, you can have up to 5) that need to move this quarter to call it a win. They keep everyone locked in on what matters most.

Here’s the quick breakdown:

• Critical Numbers spotlight the few numbers that must change this quarter.

• Priorities are the actions you're driving forward to hit those Critical Numbers.

• Quarterly Targets are the results you need to hit by the end of the quarter - Critical Numbers are often a subset of Quarterly Targets.

• Metrics are numbers you're measuring — not always about performance.

Make It Visual: Your KPI Cards visualize Critical Numbers, KPIs, Quarterly Targets, and Metrics on your Dashboards and Huddles.

Pro Tip: When you set up a Critical Number, link it to an existing Metric for quick updates and clean data— just pick "Metric" when you set the Value Source.

Advanced Tip:Use Team-Level Critical Numbers to give each team a number they can own and move the needle on.

Quick Reminder: You can always rename your KPI Card sections to match your team's style — keep it clear and meaningful.
